Taste of Brickell Food & Wine Festival - Inaugural Burger, Beer & Balls Bash in Brickell, 2012

4 out of 5

·         We had a blast at this event!!
·         General $10, VIP $65 – this event offered well made food from all over Miami and of course muchos alcohol!
·         We recommend VIP so you won’t have to worry about lining up for alcohol.
·         The lines were ridiculously long but with the right company it is not as painful as it looks.
·         Free stuff, free food samples, mini competitions, a live band and DJ made this even worth every penny.
·         The location was perfect! Right next to the Miami river and sheltered from the sun by the surrounding condo’s.
·         We will definitely return next year!!

• We were totally surprised by Orlando carnival!
• The negatives; parking price was annoying ($10)…there were no other options especially for out of towners who aren’t familiar with the area.
• The price to get into the park ($15) for what?? Then you would have to spend another $20 in food and drinks.
 • Hardly any food and drink venders on the street.
• And the disorganization of the parade. There were only 5 bands with less than 20 people in each band, yet they couldn’t get it together…strange!
• The positives; it was held in the hood however police presents were abundant.
• The area is filled with hotels and very easy to get too – it was held near downtown and next to a main highway.
• Even thought it was small, they didn’t skim too much on the costume designs.
• All in all, we had a great time, it is worth experiencing and a great get away for friends and family!
•  3 out of 5 because we didn’t get to experience it all, and it is nothing like Miami Carnival

•Free entry was just the beginning of this great experience
•Their money system was a bit discouraging at first – you were required to purchase tickets to purchase food.
1 ticket = 1 dollar
•The booths were set up by different restaurants around Miami, and they were conveniently bite sized. The most we paid was $5 for each plate
•They had big nice tents which were cool and set up with tables
•There was a stage, a live band and even a bounce-house section for the kids
•This event was perfect for foodies!
